Recent Renovations
With any historic building, there is always work to be done. The WCR Center for the Arts 2016 capital campaign afforded many much-needed improvements to the 100-year-old building.Thank you for your generosity and commitment to preserving one of Berks county's hidden gems. A Special Thank You and Sincere Gratitude goes to the: Presser Foundation and Berks County Community Foundation, Building Industries Exchange.
JB Painting did an excellent job patching and painting the entire first floor.
The hall went from a dated tiffany blue color to...
.... a classic antique white, with linen white for the trim.
The closet is given a makeover to house the 100 year old vintage steinway piano.
Careful not to paint the original Tiffany light fixture, the main entrance receives a much needed spruce up.
Ceiling damage on the third floor was result of an old roof in need of replacement.
Our capital campaign generated both grant funding and patron donations to replace the roof and windows.
