It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since the WCR Center for the Arts has closed its doors to public performances. Like other small not-for-profits, the COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenge to our organization. Not only have we had to cancel or postpone those community events that we all love so much, such as the Berks Jazz Fest, and other music and theater performances, but we were also forced to cancel our facility rental program. All of which are a major source of funding for the WCR.
But we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Our Board of Directors and volunteers are working hard to prepare for an upcoming 2021-2022 season that will allow us to open our doors again to the community. We can’t wait to share our exciting new season with you! Until then, we have developed a series of entertaining and interactive virtual events to reconnect and engage our audience.
With the warmer weather upon us, and the pandemic restrictions slowly lifting, we have put together five raffle packages that you help you, your family, and friends to get out there and enjoy all that Berks County, and beyond, has to offer. Please consider contributing to our programming fund by purchasing raffle tickets to one, or more, of these great prizes. All proceeds will benefit the WCR Center for the Arts as we prepare for music and art to return to our stage.
