The WCR Center for the Arts in Reading, PA has traditionally been the backdrop to chamber concerts, theater performances, and beautiful private events. While our mission will always be to preserve the building and continue the arts, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused us to reimagine the building as a place for smaller events as well. Like us, we know that many organizations are having to change the way they meet.
In considering the impact of Covid-19 and restrictions in place, we have set a special discounted rate for business organizations who are looking for a place to meet with 25 people or less. Whether you have a Board that requires an in-person vote, or the Zoom calls have started to lack the team spirit that drives your business, the WCR Center has the space you need to properly social distance between your colleagues.
The ballroom with balcony boasts enough room to include six feet between each attendee and includes a stage perfect for speakers or PowerPoint presentations. WiFi is available and included in all business rentals, and additional AV equipment is available by request.
In addition to the ballroom, two gallery rooms are also available. These smaller rooms would make the perfect space for private break-away meetings or lunch and coffee setups.
Hand sanitizer stations have been placed throughout the building and additional Covid-19 cleaning procedures have been put in place between events in compliance with Pennsylvania government Covid-19 mandates.
